You know the saying, “The best-laid plans…” We never would have dreamt we’d be where we are at this point in our lives. High school sweethearts, I never wanted to leave our hometown, but five years into our marriage, Mike felt the call to be a pastor. With a three-year-old in tow, we left our hometown to attend Lancaster Bible College. Thirteen years and four (more) kids later, we set off for our first field with Village Missions in upstate New York as missionary pastor, wife, and family. We have a verse-a-day flip calendar on our dinette table, and today’s verse made me think of our RV lifestyle. “The Lord says, ‘I will make my people strong with power from me!... Wherever they go, they will be under my personal care.’” Zechariah 10:12 TLB This is not the usual version of the Bible that I read, but I like the wording: “Wherever they go…” We “go” a lot.
